Because it’s too wet to plant beans, Richard has begun to mow the waterways, the paths through the woods, and the cattle lots. There’s always something to do on the farm.

A little soggy field
You can really see the rows of corn coming up since the rain. This field is a little soggy.
Stopped by rain
Richard took the soybean drill into the acres near town and had just unfolded it when the rain came! That white “buggy” holds the soybean seed.
We had a deluge! And he got soaked running to the car.
Spraying the weeds
Here Richard is pulling the sprayer behind the tractor to spray for weeds in the field.
It’s 90 feet wide.
The new rows of corn!
It’s a little dark but you can just see the rows of corn coming up in one of the first fields we planted less than a week ago.
